Introduction to Nancy

My name is Nancy Joondeph and I am from deep in the farmland of Girard, Kansas which is close to the Oklahoma and Missouri borders. I grew up on bacon grease, dry over-cooked roast beef, steaks, country fried chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, and ice tea. We moved to the south end in Des Moines, Washington in 1956 and I finished high school.

From my experience of an unnurtured childhood, I was drawn to the wrong kind of man. Repeatedly. Despite the joy of my four children, I lived a black and white existence.

After shocking and humiliating turns in life, including a stroke, God brought me to Overlake Christian Church in Redmond and my life changed drastically. I was baptized in 2004 and went to Kenya on a mission trip two weeks later. After Kenya, I was a totally changed woman.

I am Now Living In Color With God and it is by the grace of God that I survived my past without going nuts, becoming negative, angry, and seeking revenge. The Holy Spirit is the only reason I maintained my sanity, continued to Love life, Love Others, and Serve the world.
